Secrets always have a way of coming to light.
Special Agent Renata Parker learns this the hard way, when the secret she’s held close for many years is finally revealed, exposing her as traitor to the team of thieves, spies, hackers, and federal agents who thought they shared a common goal — take down Damien Wolfe. Her dedication to their cause doesn’t quite stand up to scrutiny — especially for Quentin, a fellow hacker who was drawn to Renata’s quiet energy before her true identity was exposed.
With her loyalty in question, Renata finds herself in a position where she’s forced to rely on help from the very people she may have unwittingly betrayed.
Quentin wants to trust Renata, but repairing their friendship — and possibly taking it further — requires the healing of past wounds, answering unresolved questions, and revealing unknown connections that bring new light to Damien Wolfe’s misdeeds.
While Quentin and Renata search for common ground, Marcus and Naomi navigate unexpected circumstances in their budding relationship, and Inez tries to resist Kendall’s magnetic, dangerous appeal.
Romance, danger, a little hacking, and a bit of espionage ensue as the team struggles to be released from the traumas of their past.

*Dear reader, please note that this book does contain references to sexual assault. There are no details of the actual act, but I wanted to offer this brief trigger warning, in advance of diving in.*

(Release Me If You Can is book 2/3 of a continuous series. I would *not* recommend reading this one unless you've read book 1, Catch Me If You Cn)

Release Me If You Can edition by Christina C Jones Literature Fiction eBooks

I've been getting caught up on this series for the past couple of days, and all I can say is that my mind is completely and utterly blown! You have to read book one, Catch Me If You Can before staring this one. If you don't, you will be completely lost....Release Me If You Can picks up right where Catch Me If You Can left off...In other words, more drama, more revelations, more lies, more betrayals; It's LIT! In the first book, we see Naomi and Marcus's relationship grow, and in this book, an unanticipated discovery tests the foundation of that relationship. However, Quentin and Renata are the couple at the forefront of this installment. Through flashbacks, we learn that Quentin and Renata have a deeply intertwined past...Despite their history, it's hard for them to make the transition from friends to something more because Renata must confront demons that have been haunting her for a long time. I absolutely loved them together. Renata was endearing, Quentin's steadfastness was inspiring, and their chemistry was unrelenting. Like always, CCJ delivers with a captivating plot, multilayered storyline, and a crew of complex characters. Like the previous book, it ends on a cliffhanger, so be ready to jump into book 3!

Release Me If You Can edition by Christina C Jones Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

OMG!!!! I absolutely loved this book it kept me guessing. I can't wait for the follow up, Quentin and Renanata story was challenging and at times frustrating because of Renanata hang-ups although I get them. I was very excited for Marcus and Naimoni and the pregnancy, I am looking forward to Inez and Kendall`s story . Harrison ending up saving the girls Damian and Noelle was wrong on all levels. Terry King is a bastard and I hope he gets what her deserve next book.
This book has a lot of interesting twists. I couldn't stop reading the book. Now I need the next book to come out really soon!!!! Mrs.Jones has proven that she is a very diverse type of writer. This book is AWESOME!!! All of her books are great, but this book takes a different path. It has love, killing, mystery, hidden family dirty, and more. When you think you got it figured out she throws something else at you that you weren't expecting.
Ms. Jones, Ms. Jones am I going to have to start stalking your author page daily? I need book three like right now!!! The story continues and the plot thickens in book two, you had me second guessing myself a bunch of times. I was right in the end though, I won’t mention it in my review ‘cause I don’t want to give away any spoilers. This is a book you have to read for yourself, but I really want to know where that woman has been all these years…Is it Summer yet???
I read the prequel to this story 5 months ago and for some reason forgot about the one. Omg! Like... Really... I mean... Really... This book couldn't get any better. SHEESH. If there's one thing that I love more than love stories is a suspense love story and well, here's one. I'm constantly blown away by the skill that this author has with weaving tales and keeping them entertaining. If you're bored, read. Even if you aren't bored, read it.
I have fallen in love with this series. In Release Me If You Can we get all the juicy backstory that is Agent Renata Parker. I loved the relationship between her and Q. It is truly a wonderful thing to fall in love with someone for their personality and not just their exterior. There were so many twists and turns with this story I was constantly trying to figure out what would happen next. I loved how the author seamlessly weaved everything together and made you question what everyone's motive truly was. And after the cliffhanger this novel ended on, I have to know what happens next!
A continuation of the "If You Can" series, I loved both this book as well as the first. The author did an excellent job of setting up the characters (in the first) and tying them together in an unexpected way in Release Me If You Can. Renata and Quentin's story was really interesting considering how they initially came to know one another. I loved the tension between the two and the way Christina finally brought them together. It was very thoughtful given the trauma Renata had suffered early in her life. Even with the number of characters in the story, Christina does a great job drawing you into their lives and making you care about them. The circumstances that binds them all together is also really compelling. I think this is her best series yet and I'm anxiously waiting for the third book. I do like her other series but I think Christina C. Jones has found her lane - suspense romance!
But this book was the B O M B!!!

I loved Quentin and Renata's love story. The circumstances of how they met and fell in love, sight unseen, was amazing. The horror of what Renata endured, and the way Quentin supported her through it, brought tears to my eyes. He was good to her and perfect for her. After meeting about Ren in Catch Me if You Can, I was surprised at her backstory. I had a feeling that she was Q's hacker girlfriend, but I had no idea she had gone through so much. She was a strong chick.

There were so many twists and turns that I sometimes felt I needed a seatbelt. I was amazed as the connections between the characters were revealed. So many secrets and lies. I literally screamed out loud when the author dropped a few more bob s, then ended the book. I cannot wait for the next book!

Christina C. Jones can write her butt off and if you haven't read any of her books, you are missing out. This series is a must-read.
