Morgan, a junior researcher at Bukhari Pharmaceuticals, first encounters Sheikh Sofian Bukhari in an office meeting. She dares to tell him that a new drug is not safe. Sofian challenges her opinion and asks her to provide proof. She does so and he promotes her to be his assistant. They’re attracted to each other but they have a boss-assistant working relationship and with both of them being stubborn, neither one gives in to their attraction. Their relationship changes when Sofian has to return to Kaslan after his older brother’s death and Morgan comforts him. His brother had been the crown prince of Kaslan and now Sofian has to take on the role. He knows nothing about the role and he just doesn’t want it. Will Sofian master his new duties and fight his growing attraction to Morgan?

Interesting story. A girl with a low level status but brains marries a king. Well written.
I enjoyed the book and only wished it had been longer and told us what happened with the project they started and if she/they went back to his country.
Beautiful Morgan works at Bukhara Pharmaceuticals as a junior researcher. She’s an honest woman and when she meets Sheikh Sofian Bukhari at a meeting she challenges him to try out a new drug that they company is producing—one that she feels isn’t safe for the public. But Sofian decides to counter her position and wants some proof. When she does, he promotes her to become his assistant. While their chemistry is undeniable, they choose to ignore it—at first. After all, they are professionals. But things change when Sofian has to return to Kaslan because of a death in the family. His older brother and heir to the thrown is gone and now Sofian is to take his place as prince. He’s not exactly happy about become prince, but Morgan gets to go with him—she is his assistant, after all. But the question remains whether Sofian will take his brother’s place? And is there room for Morgan in his new and unexpected turn in his life? This is an engrossing realistic fantasy that appeals to the little girl’s dream of becoming a princess that is nearly every woman’s heart. The written is tight, fast-paced, and easy to ready. I read this in only one evening—I was so hooked, I wanted to see what would happen. Would Morgan and Sofian ever give into their desires or would they deny themselves to protect their professional lives? If you love romances—especially those that take you to exotic lands, this is the perfect quick read. Highly recommended!
The protagonist, Morgan, ends up being promoted by her boss, the Sheikh Sofian Bukhari, after a confident and ardent move in the work place – which leads to her gaining his trust and entering a position where they are forced to encounter each other more frequently, even though they both at first seem adamant about keeping the relationship strictly professional. Although they may seem like a very unlikely match at first, their bond eventually develops into a complex, dynamic relationship followed by a striking chemistry between the two. “The Sheikh’s Assistant” is a romance story that genuinely feels realistic and intriguing. The characters are three-dimensional, original, and the background to the story is also unique in its own right. I recommend to any fans of the romance genre to check out author Emily Walter’s works, she has proven to be able to create hit after hit and I can’t see that stopping anytime soon.
Very engaging story that highlights the emotional changes Morgan and the sheikh feel for each other. The conflict starts immediately and the resolution and resulting interactions pull the reader into the narrative leading to an ending that leaves the reader feeling hopeful.
Boring and One dimensional the characters are boring dry just like the story,different name but the same writer as the Oli Prince,big give away is under the words chapter one is "sign up for my newsletter" why on earth would be in beginning of the 1st chapter ? Nothing new here all felt like caricatures of characters and not real ppl, I don't mind clean but one minute their bickering and teasing each like two children and being awkward w/each other the a kiss or two later and she's the only woman for him and their married.... Less interesting that PNR insta love fluff pieces... Soo grateful it's KU...
